Buying moses baskets & bedside cribs: what to look for

Bedside cribs

One side drops down so the crib sits right against your bed, which makes night feeds easier. Check it fits your bed height.

How long it lasts

Moses baskets are usually outgrown at around three or four months; bedside cribs last until about six months.

Firm, flat mattress

Use the mattress made for it, keep it firm and flat, and leave out pillows, quilts and bumpers.
